Hi hudson99999.  You might need to be a bit more specific about which type of income you are referring to, I'm afraid.  Usually payslips, correspondence from benefits or pension providers, that kind of thing.  Bank statements can be useful to a degree but are not necessarily sufficient evidence unless they show the source of the funds being paid in.

Generally, taxpayers must substantiate their sources of income with appropriate documentation. Types of documentation can include,
but are not limited to, wage statements, W-2s, 1099s, bank statements, and receipts.
