Hi guys

Hoping someone can help. Last October our parents bought us out of the trust deed as we hit financial dufficulties caused by our health. Our trustee wrote to the creditors and they accepted this in October . And we have our Form 5 is it? In January we got copy of letters sent to creditors about what had been paid, however it says on the letter that the trust deeds aren't due to end until May and June. The original dates. And that the creditor Is only now jnvestigating PPI.

This seems unfair. Why did mum and dad go to all that bother if they were just going to leave the trust deed running? Mum and dad could have just taken on the monthly payment. Surely if they write to creditors asking for early discharge they should discharge early!

Should I be fighting them on this? Always wary of arguing with them lol.

Thanks
LisaJane

Hi LisaJane.

You say that you do have your Form 5?

If so, that's you discharged.

Hi TDA

We received Form 5 dated 15 0ct 14.
In January we received a third anniversary letter with form 4 saying they anticipate the trust deeds will end May and June.
That they are still investigating PPI

I have had no Form 6 discharging the Trustee.

Should I have had this by now? I am confused as to what the position is.

Thanks LisaJane

It would seem that your trustee is carrying on doing work on your case that they need to do LisaJane. This will be between them and your creditors now. They might however copy you into some of the paperwork generated.

They have seen fit to discharge you though - meaning that your obligations are finished.

I do see what you mean LisaJane.

In practical terms however there should be nothing holding you back once you have been discharged.
