Hi

I signed my td in 2006 and it finished in sept 2009. I thiught this would be the beginning of a new start from me but i checked my credit record and 4 companies that were inc in my protected trust deed have shown no record of it and are still defaulting the accounts every month. I phoned my td and was told to write to the companies myself, which i did but i have heard nothing back. One company has apparently went into liquidation. Im not sure what to do as td told me all my debts would be off my record in 6 years from date of signing td, but as these 4 companies are updating every month...will my record ever get better?

I contacted td again but she fobbed me off and told me to write to them again, she said that these companies never put a claim in. Not sure where to turn to now.

Thanks sorry for the rambling!!

Hi ghegi

Unfortunately I'm no expert on credit rating. I do know however that you can add a notice of correction or a note to your credit report if you think that there's something misleading on your report.

I would also try writing to your creditors again, and send the letter by recorded delivery.

Sorry I can't be much more help!

Julie

Hi ghegi,

Just to add to Julie's comments it isn't really the responsibility of your Trust Deed company to deal with this side of things.

It must be very frustrating for you; hopefully writing to the companies again and filing a notice of correction will help.

Thanks i will keep writing...just gutted as i thought after 3 years all this would be over. I just want people to know that the debt was not mine, it was run up by my husband. He left and has dissapeared off the face of the earth and the bank told me i was single and jointly responsible even though it was not my debt, ex had ran it up on a joint bank account that i didnt know about.

Hopefully i can get it sorted out so that i can get a mortgage in a couple of years. Thanks again
