1st post and I have to agree with previous post. This is an excellent site and I wish I had found it sooner.
My trust deed finished in August 2009. I've checked my credit report and there are still some accounts where it says "In Default". Half of these accounts says they are "Satisfied" but the rest would appear to show that they are not satisfied.
What should my credit report look like and, if it needs changed, who should I ask to do it ? Should I ask my Trustee ? or the banks themselves ?
I did send my Trustee a letter concerning this but didn't get a response.
Many thanks.
Hi Gshields
To be honest I'm not sure, most IP firm have little or no involvement with credit agencies.
My advice would be to speak with the credit reference agency direct to advise them of the position and see if they can update the information.

Hi Gshields,
As Mark mentions this isn't the responsibility of your Trust Deed company.
I'd suggest that the defaults should be marked as satisfied. This only happens when the lender reports that fact to the credit reference agencies.
As such it would be best for you to contact the lenders themselves and request that they update your accounts.
Obtain official discharge form F5 from the trust deed company then start sending in with recorded letter tp lenders you defaulted with.
I didnt really get anywhere until I got this form Equifax and experian and require this form to update public record/court information.
Send the letter in again after few weeks and follow up with phone calls.
I did everything I could regarding an EGG account but they are terrible. Logged a complaint with Experian and they are now doing the chasing as I did everything I could.
Its alot of legwork but worth it and satisfying to see it slowly updated had taken me 2 months chasing.
Dont apply for any credit etc until all files show satisfied/settled as you will be rejected.
Skipton Building Society told me not to get a soft footprint check until its done as any application would be rejected.
