Got my first correspondence in from RBS credit card today. Just stated I missed a payment a bit of legal jargon and I have a £12 late payment fee with another 28 days to pay before interest. Nothing threatening though. Should I keep it, bin it or forward it ?

Hi kdog7

If your trustee has details of the RBS debt, then probably best to bin it.

Hi kdog7

Sometimes it takes a week or 2 for the information to filter through and as you say, the letters tend to be standard computer generated letters.

Hi kdog7,

I wouldn't worry too much about the early letters you receive and as Mark said it can take a couple of weeks for information to filter through to the correct departments for them to update your file.

If after a month or two your still receiving letters send these into your Trustee to make them aware that you are still getting letters and they can then issue more paperwork to those creditors who are still writing to you. If you receive any letters from debt collection companies then send these into your Trustee to deal with as well as the debt collection company won't be aware of your Trust Deed.

I'm sure under the consumer credit act your creditors have a requirement to send you an annual statement so you may receive some letters in the future. If your unsure about anything at all just put a call into your Trustee or pop back on here for advice.
