Hi,

I just found this website today and have spent some time reading through many of the topics.....

I made the last payment to Invocas on my protected trust deed on Dec 21st. I have heard nothing since then, should I be concerned about this? should I contact them? I thought it was the norm to wait a few months before you were officially discharged from the TD.

I live in rented accomodation so I have no estate to deal with and don't have a car..... no assetts at all, should this not speed the process up?

Any advice would be great,

Thanks in advance

Hello bhoys67,

Congratulations on having completed your payments and Trust Deed.

As the circumstances are relatively straightforward it should not take long to bring matters to a close.

I'd suggest that you call Invocas so establish exactly where they are in the process and when everything will be completed.

thanks for the quick response,

I have just come off the phone to Ivnocas and they advised me that my file was only sent to the closures department on the 19th March, and that it could take another few of months before I am formally released. One of the companies still hasn't come forward to collect their dividend, surely they must only get a certain amount of time to do this after the 36months?

Is this normal procedure?

Thanks again

Hi bhoys67

I see no reason why this should take a few months and to be honest, their response makes no sense. If it had only recently been passed to the closure dept, then I'm not sure they would have agreed and paid the dividends by now.

Maybe be an idea to ask them to confirm this in writing and explain exactly who has not collected their dividend.

thanx Mark,

It doesn't make much sense to me either, just seems as though they are dragging their heels. I didn't really want to put my name above the parapet as essentially they are in control how long everything takes and Im pretty sure my file could work it's way down the pile...

Over the whole 3 years I had never phoned up until 2day. Is it woth contacting them again to request this info regarding who hasn't collected their dividend? and is that then something I can pursue from a different angle?

Hi bhoys67

I would certainly write and ask the questions. At the very least this may focus their attentions on getting the TD closed.

Hi again Mark,

Still no joy with Invocas, don't know what they are doing to close everything for me. Just over 4 months since my final payment.

I have just recieved a letter from Santander saying that they have taken over the management of my loan. Is this normal to start getting letters again?

I think you need to write to them and advise them of your concerns and request exactly the reason for the delay and advise them that you are concerned and are considering a report to their authorising body.

Re the Santander loan, this may have been a circular for all loans, but bst keep an eye on it. Not that it will be a problem as they are a creditor, but there is a hassle factor if not dealt with.

Operations Director of Invocas could be called Michael Young if it helps.
