Despite being in a PTD for over 6 months now my wife continues to be plagued with calls and letters from Westcot. Most recently they started mailing her former address (parents address) under her maiden name instead of the correct correspondence address and name. We assumed this was due to the creditor originally having my wife's details when she stayed at her parents' address (10 years ago) at the card opening. These were updated a long time ago with the creditors but it's almost like a "reset" of details has happened when Wescot took on the debt details.

Anyway, our PTD administrator is all over the case with them and should have it resolved shortly.

Our big worry however is that they will try and default my wife at her parents address which could in turn impact on their credit scores etc despite them being advised of the address change through the PTD administrator etc...

Is anyone able to shed any light on this subject as to what can happen etc...?

Half way already!

Hi colski.

Wescot (and just as significantly whichever creditor hired them) should be able to do better than this.

Has a formal complaint been made to them?

Credit scores apply to individuals not properties. There's nothing to fear in that respect.

Hi TDA,

Nicola at RMS is all over it thankfully. she already has dealt with it once so fingers crossed they take notice the second time round.

It just feels like some of these firms really don't know what the left and right hands are doing...!

I think that's probably a fair description of a common problem colski.
