I entered my ptd in feb 2009 and initially had payments of ?ú380 x 36.
I was able to pay this amount for 18mths but circumstances changed so i called trustee and the payments were reduced to ?ú230pm which will me i will have to pay it for longer. Now my hours in work are being cut from 39 hr p/w to 22hrs which starts in march. It's a massive drop but its either that or i will pe paid off. I have applied for several jobs and had interviews but with no success as they say my current hourly rate can't be matched. My wage now will be just under ?ú700pm. The last time i spoke to trustee about it they said any less than what i'm paying wouldn't be accepted and i would probably be declared banktrupt. I don't have any assetts apart from my car which is worth about ?ú5k. Can they petition for banktruptcy and would they take the car?? Can u help!
