I wrote to the creditors who were still showing as a default on my credit file, one of them has replied saying that have updated the register to show "partially satisfied" is this the best I can hope for? They also say the default will remain for 6 years from April 2008 - again is this the best I can hope for?

Defaults should be dated around when the TD started and will remain for 6 years from that date. Settled or satisfied is what the report should state I believe, has the balance been set at zero?

Thanks Paul

Credit file hasn't updated yet, letter does say allow 48 hours but the letter definitely says they've updated to "partially satisfied"

Mine have all been marked as settled or satisfied with zero balances. Some of the default dates are all over the place but I have plenty time to sort that out.

Hi WIKIKEE.

The Information Commissioners Office told us that "partially satisfied" is acceptable for default notices upon discharge from trust deeds.
