?ú15 fee for discharge letter

Hi all. i have been a long time lurker and have found the info on here great over the last 2 years. i have made my last trust deed payment to a g taggart 2 months ago and i asked them about a letter of discharge. and they told me i had to pay the accountant in bankruptcy £15 for this. is this koshar. many thanks for your help. joe

Congratulations on having reached the end of your trust deed and thank you for your kind words.

I wonder if your trust deed provider is prepared to send you a letter confirming that you have met all of your obligations to the trust deed?

I haven't heard about this £15 fee before but I'm sure one of our experts will shed some light on it for all of us soon enough.

This is for a sequestration certificate if discharge. I am unaware of such a thing in a Trust Deed.

I see no reason why your Trustee could not issue a letter!
