Just wondered if anyone else had been contacted by this company after completing trust deed?
Yes - by letter and then I called them to discuss what they were suggesting.
They will check out any credit cards that were increased without permission. To do that, they need to see records all the way back. They obtain those under the Data Protection Act. Each company costs the DP £10 fee and they must produce everything they have on file.
They also seemed knowledgeable about the difference between an English company trying to claim back PPI from loans years ago versus a Scottish Company. Their fees are less and they do not charge unless the individual receives cash in their hand (some other companies charge if it is successful even if the company retains the money against the defaulted account).
The person I spoke with seemed very personable and knowledgeable. I had made an enquiry through an English company and he offered to assist with information if they came across difficulties understanding Trust Deeds as opposed to IVAs.
He was also up front and said no point dealing with RBS since they keep the money and are challenging through courts.
If I wish to proceed I send details of the accounts with the DP fee of £10 per account so they can get the full history. At this point I decided not to proceed.
(As it happens I did not have PPI on the other loans being investigated by the English Company).
Hope that helps.
