Hi All

My trusteed is due to come to an end this April after 4 years, however I signed up to an extra year to cover the equity in my flat (£2500)

When can I start to request discharge, is it this april or next?

Also my dad's offered to pay the equity if it gets me out of this earlier, would that be ok?

Welcome to the forum girl1ndr.

If you're paying the equity in instalments then your discharge will not happen until that's finished.

I'm sure your trustee would welcome a third party paying off the equity instead. This should result in you being discharged sooner.

Hi girl1dr

You can only receive your discharge once all contributions and assets have been full dealt with. The process itself is fairly straightforward.

As TDA says, paying off the equity early should certainly soled this up.
