Hello.
What role/rights/authority has the trustee got on my financial dealings after being discharged?
Secondly, after discharge can the trustee activity pursue PPI claims from companies listed/owed money on the Trust Deed?

Thanks.

Hi jam14 and welcome.

There are two discharges, yours and your trustees.

They may discharge you, but remain in office to perform certain tasks related to your trust deed. PPI claims is an example and quite common now.

Their role ends when they are discharged.

Hi & thanks for the quick response ๐Ÿ™‚

Can a Trustee investigate/make a claim on any potential PPI claim on credit cards/loans taken out & settled prior to the TD being established?

Yes because it is an asset (or potential asset) that existed before the TD is signed.

Just about all of the TD firms are doing this. There are 1001 threads on the forum on this subject.

Hi jam14.

CIF is correct.

The aim is to raise more money for the creditors of your trust deed, not specifically to reclaim PPI from the creditors of it.
