Hi,I was discharged from my trust deed last year which shows on the AIB register, however the trustee discharge date has not been ins#8203;erted as yet. Is it normal to wait a year for this to be enterd?

Hi jimbob.

A year does sound like a long time, but there might be external factors that are holding your trustee back.

This shouldn't hold you back in any way though.

Hi Jimbob. I wouldn't say it is normal, but I guess a lot in this past year hasn't been normal and perhaps this has slowed the process down for your Trustee. There are various things they need to do before they can be discharged, part of which is likely to involve requiring others to do certain things in good time, such as your creditors coming back to them with claims.

Hopefully it will not be much longer, though there is nothing to stop you calling your trustee for an update.
