Hi all
I just wanted to give some positive feedback on our decision to take out a trust deed.

My husband and I took advice from Kevin and I can honestly say it was the best advice we have ever gotten from anyone. We were able to discuss all the pro's and con's (as well as other solutions) and there wasn't a stone left unturned. He explained everything, dispelled our fears and nothing was too much trouble. Believe me I ask a lot of questions!

We decided to go with Kevins company and are now nearly a year into our trust deed and after a very long time living with the strain of a huge amount of debt we are living again!

In fact, we turned our lifes around and my husband became a full time student studying for his degree while I was able to continue to study for mine (I thought I would have had to give it all up). It's tough at times as we both work on top and have a toddler and one on the way, but we have never been so happy and in control of our futures. We kept our house, our car which had been bought on finance the year before the trust deed, and have at long last got a realistic budget to pay bills, food etc. We didn't have that before and borrowed to pay creditors, to pay food..you name it. Our heads were in the sand and our relationship suffered as did our health.

Anyone thinking there is no way out, no light at the end of the tunnel my advice to you is to seek advice, it costs nothing. Do something about it. It won't go away. It just gets worse. I wish we had done it earlier.

This forum is how it all started for me, one night sitting in tears thinking I could not get through another month of bills that I couldn't pay.
Thankyou Kevin and the others on this forum who gave us our lives back.

From a very happy,pregnant,future educational psychologist... ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi miss hardup.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm so pleased to hear that as well as dealing with the pressure of the debt that you have also been able to move forward in so many other aspects of your lives.

Congratulations to Kevin and his team for their hard work and professionalism.

It's very pleasing to hear that you are in a better place now, miss hardup, and thanks for your kind words.

You've summed up the whole point of all of this better than i ever could. If appropriate, trust deeds offer an excellent way out of a very stressful situation which is fair to all parties and means people can move on within a reasonable timescale.

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Hopefully this time next year, I'll be discharged and writing about how a Trust Deed was the best thing I ever did. If only more people were aware of this option instead of spending years juggling from one debt to another. I wish I had done it sooner.

Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!
