Really hoping someone can give me some advice here. I am on the 3rd anniversary of my trust deed however need to make a 2 more payments due to a late standing order being set up however on the letter I recieved it stated it would be December when its actually finished? Why is this? Secondly a month ago I recieved money for a ppi claim that I had been miss-sold I genuinely didn't think about mentioning this due to not having any contact with the trustee's apart from my annual review.I am a full time mum and do not recieve any benefits etc as my husband provides for us and also makes the monthly payments in full on my behalf. What do I do and will I have to pay the money to them? Thanks for any advice.
Hi abbs30
Unfortunately it's impossible to tell without full details of the case.
You will need to check to see what was agreed at the start and confirm if it was 36 payments. If so, then the trust deed should complete once the 36th payment has been made. It may well be that the December statement is when they expect to have fully concluded all matters and received their discharge.
On the issue of PPI, if this is applied for then any funds would go to the Trustee.

Thank you for responding I will phone them tomorrow to declare it. It is over 36 monthly payments however I have 2 payments still to be made due to the late set up. Just thought that December was a long time considering it will be fully paid in july. Thank you again.
Hello abbs30.
It's quite possible that you'll be discharged sooner than this once you've completed your obligations.
We often hear that it only takes a few weeks, though this varies from firm to firm according to how they prioritise things.
You're doing the right thing informing your trustee about the PPI claim payment. Failing to do so could lead to trouble at worst and delays at least.
