I have 1 more payment to make to kpmg and that will be the trust deed payed off. I had negotiated a reduction as kpmg wanted £19,000 that was the equity in my house halved as our mortgage was in joint names. Kpmg eventually agreed to £5000 payed over year ie £125 pw. What do i do after the final payment next week? any advice would be very helpful

Welcome to the forum ROOFTOPGUNMAN.

There isn't a lot for you to do. I'd suggest contacting the trust deed firm concerned and asking them to confirm how long it will take for you to be discharged from the trust deed. As you've met all of your commitments this should only take a few weeks.

Congratulations on reaching the end of your trust deed.

Hi rooftopgunman

Looking at your username, I suspect you'll have no problems!!

Just kidding. On receipt of the final payment, they should apply immediately for the TD discharge.

Hi am I right in thinking kpmg are going to accept 5000 instead of 19000?
They haven't halved it because it was joint equity ?

Hello goneunder.

I'm sure Rooftopgunman will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm wondering if the £19000 was the original equity amount at the start of the trust deed and that the property has reduced in value since.
