Hi there,

thought i would give an update on my progress.. I have now met with George (who was a big help) and have decided that the best thing for me, given i want to pay back all my debts is the DAS.

It has been sobering for me just pulling together all the debt owed amounts and wondering how i got myself into such a mess in the first place.

i am hopeful that no creditors will object to the DAS and that i will be able to repay my debts in full. Right now that is looking like it will take around the 6 year mark, but I hope to bring that down if circumstances improve.

It has been a massive relief to finally feel like I am sorting out this mess and the fact that I am able to do this via this forum and help received here is much appreciated.

It seems like a relatively quick process, I believe the creditors have 3 weeks to respond/object. If all is ok, the DAS is setup and I can start making payments.

I guess for me now, it is a case of waiting and hoping.

It's good to hear that your meeting with George went well and that you feel so positive about having made a decision to proceed with the debt arrangement scheme.

Hopefully the creditors will respond positively and everything can get going as you would like it to.

update on das. received letter yesterday confirming DAS approved. need to read through all the details (was working away yesterday) but i have to confirm that the process has been very smooth from my perspective so far, and all things going well i hope to have paid off my debt after 6 years.

So relieved to being on my way to doing something positive about this.
