Hi all,

I have been looking to get a new job however I work in the banking sector. I went for a job around 18 months ago for a large bank however after successfully going through the whole process I had the contract withdrawn because of the trust deed I declared.

I guess there are a couple of questions here -

1) will 18 months of paying it off make any difference to going for the same position?
2) is there anything else I could do to help get past this problem?

I should add that the same company is keen to get me on board but they do all their checks with a third party (first advantage to be precise) and are bound by their decision.

thanks for any help
Marcus

Hi Marcus

I think the Trust Deed stays on your credit file for 6 years, so I would be surprised if the was any change after 18 months.

I wish I could offer better news, but it appears that matters for this company depend on your credit report and don't see this changing.

Hello Marcus_S,

To build on Mark's point this is an individual recruitment policy of this one company.

As I'm sure you're aware, other companies are likely to have very different recruitment policies that may be more open to fit your current circumstances.
