My Husband and I signed a trust deed March 2008. My Husband for 48 payments and myself for 54 paymens. We have not heard from the Trustee so I called them to state that my Husbands last payment should have been March 2012. I was informed that the Trustee had increased our deed by 6 monthd each. I stated that we have received no correspondence regrding this and could we have a letter of explanation (This phone call was made on 30th March 2012, but to date we have received nothing. any advice????

Welcome to the trust deed forum burnside.

This cannot be done without good reason. If I were you I'd be demanding to know what that reason was.

You're 100% absolutely entitled to know the answer so please be persistent.

I finally got in contact with someone who stated that they reviewed the value of our house in 2010, and that we agreed to extend our payments by 6 months. This is untrue, and we have had no notification from the Trustee to state our trust deed would be extended. I asked to have infomation sent, but received nothing. I have telephoned on a few occasions since and been informed that someone would return my call, but I am still waiting . I was under the impression that the Trustee was there to help us, but the it seems that we are unimportant. The only regular correspondence we have had is a list of the Trustees charges

Hi Burnside

I would demand a full explanation and definitely get sight of the 'new' valuation. Based on this type of nonsense could the trustee not just keep on having the property valued at the end and add another extension.
