Hi, my trust deed was dissolved weeks after set up by Knightsbridge due to not being arranged correctly, I have evidence of the dissolved status, I am now happily in a DAS (Scotland).
My credit report is still showing me as being in a Trust deed, and a debt arrangement, is this correct, or should the trust deed be expunged?
Hmm, a good question, yorkieae. It might certainly be worth contacting the Credit reference agency and asking them to mark your record appropriately.
Having said that, your credit file is a record of everything that has happened in the last 6 years. So whilst the Trust Deed may have been shortlived, that doesn't mean it didn't exist so they may well insist that it should continue to show has having been in place.
I'm interested as to what you mean by not being set up correctly and then being dissolved. What was the problem? Did you make any payments to Knightsbridge?
Yes, I made two payments to the TD. The main reason I was given was that they had not taken all my assets, and debts into the plan as was required, and details given my me at the time.
Hi yorkieae and welcome.
My understanding is that this entry will remain on your credit report for a total of six years.
A credit report records what's happened in the past. This trust deed happened (even if you were released a couple of months later).
Hi TDA/Kevin, that seems a shame being marked due to no fault of mine, and my record showing two credit markers, even though 1 was closed. All my details were given at the time, they chose not to include, maybe through inexperience?
I don't understand why anything would not be disclosed if it should have been. It certainly does seem unfair if your credit rating has been affected unnecessarily - and you had to pay for the privilege!
