Hi,

My girlfriend was considring the option of a trust deed. She has been working with her current employees on a temporary basis for well over a year just now. Would she be eligible for a trust deed?

Hi stevie0398.

I cannot see any reason that would block your girlfriend from starting a trust deed. Does she feel that the position is likely to remain hers in the medium and longer term? How easily might she find another job if she had to?

Hi,

Following on from this post as i mentioned before my Girlfriend is now looking to see if she is eligible for a trust deed. She has been doing relief/temporary work for one company for the past two years as well as working with other companies as well. She has evidence of income therefore in the last two years at least. The work is constant and she is in the process also of looking for a permanment position. Would this make her eligible for a trust deed??

Hi stevie0398

I see no reason why this would be a problem. Depending on income and expenditure, I'm sure it could be an available option.

If she has been employed on a "temporary" basis that long by the same company, I think she would be technically classed as an employee with all rights, etc, so would count as a permanent job, meaning her wage should be counted on for the near future at least.

Hard to explain, I only know a few week bits on employment law, so I may be wrong.
