I can’t believe that I’m writing this post and I’m ecstatic about it. Around May my TD will end(!!!!!!![:D][:D][:D])
So my trust deed was extended 9 months to ingather the funds of trustees interest in vehicle. Which means it should be coming to an end in may time, woohoo.
What’s the process of TD coming to an end? What usually happens?
I’ve also read in a few posts about it taking a certain amount of time to fall of credit file. So if my TD was extended the 9 months (4 years total) then will there be a couple years from end date before it falls off credit file?
What are peoples success as far as building credit enough to get mortgage etc. we are happy renting but would one day hopefully like to buy.
Never thought I’d be writing a post because I was coming toward end of TD and to ask these questions, it seemed so long away but over the moon the end is near! #128522;
Hi K1991. The end is in sight!!
Once you have completed all of your payments then your Trustee should issue you with a Form 5, which is your certificate of discharge, and you are officially free of any further obligations to the Trust Deed (although the Trustee will remain in place for a few months longer to wrap up all of the closing admin work).
The fact it was extended 9 months shouldn't affect when the Trust Deed disappears off your credit file - it is 6 years from the start that this happens.
I hope the remaining months fly by quickly for you.
