Hi there,
Having been reading these forum pages for weeks and weeks I decided in February to apply for a Trust Deed after nearly 2 years of struggling on trying to make ends meet, trying to save my credit rating by never missing a payment despite the , sometimes extreme, hardship it would leave me in. Due to divorce and all the issues that brings, I found myself on the downward spiral and increasingly reliant on credit to survive. Money being paid out by me only served to pay the interest, that seemed to increase month by month, therefore after several hard thinking months I applied for the Trust Deed. Today, I received a letter from my IP advising that my Trust Deed now has protected status. Today I feel is a new beginning for me. I thought I would write this (long winded - sorry!) note as a thank you to the experts, administrators etc on this site that advise people like myself in relation to Trust Deeds. It was through reading your comments and advice on this site that made me take that first step, the hardest one of all to take. Thank you all so very much.[:)]

McFadden1-0, well done, it took me over 10 years of trying to deal with huge debt before I did my TD, best thing I ever did, the 3 years passed really quickly and im now debt free and a happy man.
Good luck for the future

Thanks Hamish. I can look forward with hope now and it feels like a massive weight has come off my shoulders. All the best for the future.
