I have recieved a tax bill which will be taken out of my salary for an underpayment in my tax last year- does this continue to be paid back through my tax code or is it considered a debt and therefore added to my trust deed
Thanks

Hi Joni.

That's a really interesting question (which is partly code for I'm not 100% sure)!

Hopefully Mark, Kevin or Shona can help you and me out with an answer soon.

Hi Joni

No this ranks as a normal debt and your Trustee should request the Revenue to submit a claim. I assume the underpayment relates to the period before the Trust Deed was signed.
