Hi

First time I have posted here but I have seen the vast knowledge kicking about so I’m hoping I can get an easy answer.

I went into a protected trust deed in November 2021. Part of the trust deed was that my cars would not be sold as assets as we need them for work. My need for the car has changed since then and I was looking to change to a car that better suits.

My car was on a personal unsecured loan so it isn’t tied to the car and I was wondering if I could sell my car and buy a different car for the same value without having issues with my trust deed?

TIA

Richard

Hi Richard. You will need to run it past your trustee before you do that, just in case, but if a similar value and still required then I don't see why they should have a problem with it.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I will have the discussion with the trustee to make sure there is no issue.
