My trust deed became protected in January but Marshall Hoares acting on behalf of Tooth Fairy are still emailing and phoning me. My ip has contacted them, i have told their doorstep collection agent this and i have spoken to them last week explaining that the trust deed is protected i was told all calls emails would stop but today i have recieved an email saying the bailiffs are coming again. i have kept all texts and emails is there an ombudsman who can deal with them?

It does often take a few months for the information on the trust deed to filter down to all levels, which is no excuse for continued harassment.

Next time the doorstep rep arrives politely get his name and inform him that you are now taking formal action for continued harassment.

Your IP could probably be a little firmer if creditors are continuing to hassle you.

Hi Blackford.

The first step could be to use this firms own internal complaints procedure.

That might make someone sensible within the business look at your situation and update their records.

It's not in their interests to be spending time and money chasing you for debts that you will no longer be dealing with directly.

Since your deed is protected they had plenty of time before to object , to it coming protected . So as far as I know the law is on your side and should offer you protection from continued hassle from creditors. Again ask your IP , to be more firm with them , not sure if you could also complain to trading standards .

Its really a bit early to be going to trading standards,TDA's advice to go to the companies directly and escalate a complaint may do enough to stop things, but at the end of the day they cannot do anything to you other than be an annoyance.
