I have been in a protected trust deed for a few months and now may have the opportunity to start a very small business.

The turnover/profit would be very small buy it is something I'm very keen on doing as its more of an interest rather than a source of income.

I would still be working full time in my current job.

First of all, is there any rules on starting a business when you are in a protected trust deed? And secondly, would I be able to get a business bank account?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Welcome lavvyheid (not going to ask how you came up with that name!).

Nothing to stop you starting a business, though you'd need to let your trustee know. However, if it is like most businesses and needs an injection of funds to get started then that might be an issue, and you may have problems getting a business bank account as you would presumably be credit scored for that.
