Afternoon all,
Can anyone give me any advice as i am looking to start my own buissness up but i am currently in a trust deed so is it possible to do so also i would need a bank to loan some money for me to get it up and running again is there any banks out there that do so any info would be great
Hi scotty70 and welcome to the trust deed forum.
I don't see any particular reason inherent to your protected trust deed stopping you from starting a business. After all, lots of self-employed people do enter Scottish trust deeds. Also, with many people being pushed out of their jobs, it's inevitable that some people will see self-employment as being the answer rather than spending a lot of time looking for new work.
Borrowing money from a bank may be a bigger issue though. Start-up businesses have a lot of trouble raising finance from banks even without the added complication of a trust deed having damaged your credit rating. I think you'll have a tough time with this I'm afraid.
Another complication is that it may take some time for you to generate sufficient cash to pay yourself an income that can be used to pay your bills and trust deed. Is the type of business that you envisage starting one that would quickly generate enough cash to be able to do this?
Thanks for the quick feed back.I would hope so but again you never know whats round the corner in the current climax
