Have you been paying a half share of your joint household bills up to now, or has your partner been subsidising you to some extent due to your debt situation?

The reason I ask is that if this was the case then you could justifiably be paying more into the pot for your joint bills and maybe this would then mean that your partner could therefore afford to help see your guarantor right?
