We lost £700 to a middle man company before realising what was happening and switching to a proper firm.
Can I suggest phoning AMI Financial Solutions? THeyve dealt with ours and have been fantastic.

You should never have to pay a middle man, that is ridiculous. Stick to a firm where there is no upfront fees.
