A question about share assets.
If your trust deed includes a payment that must be made at the end to cover the supposed value of shares you owned at the start, and that company goes into liquidation before the end making those shares worthless, would that amount still be payable?
Thanks!

Hi DFW.
I guess that's going to depend on what was agreed at the start.
Was it already agreed that a fixed sum in lieu would be paid irrespective of future value?
Or was it the case that a sum might have to be paid on the value of these shares at a later point?
Probably one to check directly with your trustee.

Hi TDA,
It was a fixed sum, agreed at the start so I'm assuming you're about to say that it will remain the same!
Kindest,
DFW
