Well i've cancelled Direct Debit and set up new one just for the mortgage. Will have to phone tomorrow and pay next installment by card due to timescale. They've also asked that i sent written confirmation about changes ,due to it being a Mortgage Plus account.

I'm happy to do that as it will make clear to them that they should contact my Trustee in relation to the unsecured loan in my TD.

The only outstanding issue will be the unsecured part of the payment i made at end of November. Will contact my trustee regarding that.

Thanks for advice guys. Very helpful as always. I'm certainly glad this forum's here.

Hi Del,

I had a similar issue with NRAM and their infamous "Together Mortgage". Incidentally I had no idea anyone else other than them, was offering such a wonderful product (rolls eyes. Admin - we need a rolls eyes smiley added, purely for any mention of NRAM if nothing else).

At least you were allowed to set up a new direct debit. NRAM refused to allow me to do this, despite my unsecured loan showing as satisfied on my credit file! I still need to pay the mortgage element manually. It's no big deal as I have them set up on internet banking now and it's really just a couple of clicks. Talk about being awkward though.[:(!]
