At the begining of my trust deed I had a second job and my contributions were calculated including my earnings from this second job. I am now entering the third year of my trust deed but I am finding it increasingly difficult to maintain the second job, can anyone give an insight as how this would viewed by my trustee?
thanks in advance
I am finding that my health is suffering and i am worried this could jepordise my main job which obviously pays far more.
Hi higg1007
Your trustee will probably agree a reduced amount, but is likely to increase the length of the trust deed to pick up the missed payments. The key point of the trust deed is to reach the figure agreed with creditors at the start.

Hi higg1007.
If you can evidence the health issues you are facing you may wish to raise this with your trustee.
In some circumstances a trustee may not penalise a client (with an extended term for example) where there it is clear that the reduction in a payment is through no fault of their own.
It all comes down to the attitude of the trustee and the circumstances though.
Thanks for all your replies.
in terms of providing evidence of health issues I have been attending the gp with stress related symptoms, the most severe of which have been very heay nose bleeds that required hospital attention to have my nose cauterised. i am also awaiting results of blood tests and the gp thinks i am suffering from depression and anxiety
thanks for the response
my gp has asked if there is any way to cut my hours, i also have a daily round trip commute of 100 miles
Hi higg1007.
I'd suggest getting in touch with your trustee and starting a conversation about this.
At this stage you'll really need to weigh up how open they are to reviewing the situation if your income goes down.
In advance you may wish to think through how much you will remain in a position to pay to the trust deed each month if the second job is relinquished.
