Hello,

I am currently in a protected Trust Deed and have been for two years.
The area in which we currently live has limited employment potential and although both I and my partner are currently employed there is some concern about his current position.

We have both discussed the possibility of relocating for work (Though obviously I would not move before having a new job as to not disrupt my trust deed commitments.)

One of the possibilities we are considering is relocation to England for work and I was just wondering if I was allowed to move to England even though I have a Protected Scottish Trust Deed?

I do not like the prospect of us living apart for a year until my trust deed ends; however Iร”ร‡ร–m not completely sure on how this would work. I do not recall seeing anything saying you had to stay in Scotland but would like to know before proceeding too far with this.

Many thanks in advance

You do not have to stay in Scotland, annie2010. Obviously you must inform your trustee of any change of address and they will do a review of your income/expenditure too so your contribution could change.

Whether it is a good idea to swap the glorious Scottish landscape for England is another matter altogether however...

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for coming back to me so quickly and advising on this, it's good to know that if it did come to it then moving would not be an issue.
Though your right about the landscape, i would miss the beauty of Scotland, however there are some very nice parts of England too ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you once again.
