Hi TDS

I have been a keen reader the last few years and found this site very useful.

I have just received my Form 5 and I am more than chuffed to say the least.

It says on my letter "I have recalled my notice of inhibition" does this mean I can sell my flat?

Thanks in advance.

That sounds like really positive news all around abzloon. Congratulations to you.

Technically you should probably check that your discharge has been recorded by the AIB on the Register of Insolvencies. You can check this via the AIB's website. This is the point at which your discharge is official.

At the very worst it seems like you'll be able to start selling the flat within days if that's what you want to do.

I have just checked the Register of Insolvencies and it shows debtor's discharge was January 2014.

Trustee's discharge has no date but i believe this has something to do with them chasing PPI.

Hi abzloon

In order for the Trustee to issue the Form 5, they need to recall the inhibition. This is the thing which would have stopped you selling the property.

If this has been recalled, there there should be no barrier to you selling.

This is what I thought but just wanted clarification.
Thank you for that.
