Good evening.

This is my first time on the site.

I will make my final payment next week for my Trust Deed and I have been in contact with the company to make sure everything will run smoothly and if there were any problems I should be worried about. I have been told everything is currently fine.

I am now looking for any information regarding rebuilding my credit rating, if this is even possible at this stage.

I've been told to get a credit card and make a one off payment each month and pay the balance in full each month.

Any help and/or advice will be much appreciate.

Kind regards
David

I use a vanquis card but there are others. Its now showing up positively on my credit files. Something like a next catalogue account or mobile phone contract all paint a better picture but it will only make a difference after the trust deed drops off your files (6 years from the start of the trust deed).

Welcome to the forum.

So any good credit I have for the next three years will be pointless?

Not pointless as it all builds up a pretty picture but the td will lurk over all else until it drops off. Credit files are a funny thing, some people have managed to get mainstream car loans with a trust deed still showing up, others struggle to get a pay monthly mobile phone!
