Hi

Is it difficult to remortgage ? i have just called my existing mortgage lender who has advised me that they cant offer me a better deal due to my credit rating, i find this disappointing as i have never defaulted with them and i assumed they would have taken this into consideration. i explained my situation with the trust deed

The ironic thing is, the deals that they are offering at the moment is way less in what im paying just now !!!!! therefore i would be far better off!!!

Seems like you have answered your own question there, nells99. Unfortunately remortgaging is likely to be difficult with a trust deed on your credit file. If the loan-to-value ratio is sufficiently low then you might stand a better chance.

Hi nells99.

Are you trying to release equity from your home (get a bigger mortgage) or just to get a better deal on your existing loan amount?

I guess you might just have to wait until your credit rating improves again in time. It might not make much logical sense but most lenders will see you as a bigger risk now, so the rate at which they will be willing to lend is higher.
