As their 28 days from the 11th of Feb have now passed. I have asked them for a update to RBS's intended action. I will post any reply they give me.

HJAW, i dont think it is 28 days, i think its 42 days. If you read the links it mentions 42 days, and the court can leave it for longer if the lawyers put forwar a good enough reason?
I'm taking the figure of 28 days from last email I got from John Hutcheon from the rbs ppi executive concerns team who said the bank had 28 days from the 11 Feb to lodge their appeal with the supreme court.
The section is.
An application to the supreme court for permission to take an appeal must be made
A) within the period of 28 days beginning with the date of the decision on which the inner house refuses permission for the appeal.
I assume this is because inner house refused their action to appeal. If they where allowed the appeal then rbs would have 42 days.
I had a reply back from rbs.
"I have again spoken with the Legal Team who have asked me to pass on the following message:
“The bank has recently lodged its application to appeal directly to the Supreme Court and any decision may take a number of months.”
Kind regards
John Hutcheon | PPI Executive Concerns Team"
So need to wait to see if the S.C. allow the appeal to proceed

Covid 19 will now make this process even longer!
As you said, Kevin - the saga continues, and then some. The Coronavirus will extend the appeal even further as this will affect the court systems, see scotcourts.gov.uk.
I hope all you guys keep safe during this difficult time.
I feel a glass of wine coming on!
Same to you Duckbill and everyone else to stay safe.
I would have said I will be the same but at my local Tesco last night most of the alcohol section was empty. Contemplating starting on the cheap Christmas bottles of wine and prosecco we received that are up the back of the cupboard somewhere...
