Hi,

I was released from my TD 1-1/2 years ago and paid back 90% of the money owed, however according to my credit file two of the creditors have not yet collected the monies and they are sitting with Accountant in Bankrupsy. I wrote to them 3 months ago to ask them to update my credit file but as yet they havn't. I've also asked Invocas to contact them as my credit file is still showing that I owe them money.

What can I do next?

Thanks
Kimmie

Hi KimmieT,

I don't think there is any hard and fast rule about how you should deal with this. I'd suggest chasing up the creditors and your Trustee again.

There is a process for rectifying errors on your credit file, Kimmie T, which I imagine will be outlined on the experian/equifax sites. I'm not sure if this would fall into this category but it might - the debt should be nil because you have been discharged from your debts so the fact they are still showing is surely something that the credit reference agencies should act upon and change.

Worth a try - let us know how you get on will you? Thanks
