i am in a debt management program with cccs, I pay what i can. But the debt is never going down. I own the house with my husband, but we are now separated and have been for 17 months. He is going down the trust deed root. I want to also, but i live in the house with my two kids. There is no equity in the house, in fact owe more that value of the house. If my ex and i go down this road of trust deed, am i at risk of losing the house. My ex wants me and kids to stay and wants no part of house. I hope this makes sense.I guess i want to do a trust deed, my is is going to. Is the house at risk. x

Hi stavros.

I think your husband may have been posting using this profile yesterday? Welcome to the forum.

If your home is in negative equity there should be no threat to it connected to a trust deed or trust deeds.

How much do you owe? How much do you pay via your CCCS debt management plan at the moment?

Hi stavros

As TDA says, if there is no equity in the house, then it is on no interest to the Trustee or your creditors. You will be able to stay in the house, although these facts will have to be confirmed with a valuation and redemption statement.
You need to speak to someone face to face to explain things fully.

Shona is not currently posting in the Trust-Deed.co.uk forum.
