Hi sharon21

No, however the Trust Deed will be recorded on your credit file similar to defaults, CCJ's etc.

Hi Sharon

I suppose the technical answer is no, however the Trust Deed will show up on your credit file, so will probably have the same effect.

Thanks Mark - I thought this would be the case and therefore not be allowed to get a loan. Och well just need to save and wait longer than I wanted for my makeover kitchen.

Hi sharon21.

You're certainly allowed to apply for a loan. Every finance provider will have their own acceptance criteria so you'll only ever find out by applying.

Part of their assessment will be the details in your application, part may be based upon the contents of your credit file. They'll then apply all of that information against the framework of who they want to lend to.

The longer a credit application is after you've been discharged from the trust deed the better is probably a good general rule. The trust deed is not the only factor though.
