Was at Paisley sheriff court today for a procedural hearing about the reopening of my TD to seize PPI funds! The judge seemed quite knowledgeable about the while thing and ordered a hearing for 20th may ! I decided to represent myself today but has anyone any advice for my next step ! Would appreciate any help !Cheers G

Hi gscullion1977,

Unfortunately I can't offer any help or advice for your next step as It's not something I'm qualified in.

Have you looked into the cost of taking proper legal representation or even speaking to a law centre who may be able to help on a free basis?

I'm really shocked about that ! I can imagine this might be a precident for other folk, if they succeed then I imagine a lot of other people being dragged back into this, the best thing is I doubt very much any of the original creditors would bother maybe one or two but after all this time ! I know lot of people who had trust deeds to try sort themselves out who would be in the same position, if they had gotten compensation from mortgages etc all those year ago they wouldn't have needed a trust deed, a neighbour lost their house because their PPI didn't pay out on a technicality as they weren't contracted ful time yet the bank had known that and sold them ppi theyre fighting at moment for compensation but doesn't make up for losing their home and their pride at the time and cost the family the marriage etc I dont believe they were aware of trust deeds at the time !

I think contacting the law centre is a good step - good for you in taking it this far yourself though gscullion.

Totally agree with everything your saying Michelle not only was PPI not mentioned in trust deeds 10 years ago it feels like your being punished twice for the same thing! And thanks Kevin I have to be honest I felt a bit out my depth at the hearing yesterday that's what made me think going to a professional was the way forward ! But thank you both for your imput it's appreciated!G
