Hi All,

I apologise in advance if this is a silly or obvious question. But wouldn't it save a lot of time and inconvenience all round if we made our PPI claim enquiries during our trust deed's and paid any due amounts into our funds. This would surely make our discharge easier and less time consuming? Or are we unable to make claims while in a td?

This is a genuine question, as I honestly don't know the answer.

Carol

Hi Carol

I can't argue with that.

Seems to make alot of sense. It seems to have caused problems where people were unaware of potential claims and only became aware when TD discharge was delayed past the dates anticipated causing them to enquire of their trustee.

Hindsdight is great and probably lots of folk would choose to proactively deal with it as opposed to be delayed in completing their trust deed, had they been aware.

Another simple way for this to be handled might be if trust deed firms started the claims process as soon as possible. The practice some firms seem to use of waiting until all monthly contributions have been made before starting to do anything about PPI just seems ridiculous.

What if you are absolutely certain you were NOT mis-sold PPI? Is it worth putting that in writing to Trustee to avoid need for anyone to pursue claim?

It's worth a go worriedme.

I do think we've read posts here recently though where people have sought to alert their trustee to this fact but an investigation has still gone ahead anyway.
