Hi there,
I am just looking for some advice please.
I entered a Protected Trust Deed in 2007 - this was completed in Dec 2011 (this went on for longer as i have had two children).
I have received a letter in from an old creditor whom i owed a small amount of money to, advising that they mis sold PPI and asked for me to complete forms and send back, for which i have done.
The company have now written back to me to say that due to me being in a PTD and even though i am now discharged, my trustee is still responsible for this.
I am a bit confused, as i honestly thought that after my discharge, that would be it and i would no longer have any further communications with my Trustee.
Would someone please be able to advise me whether the above is true and if i still need to go through my Trustee regarding PPI claims even though i have been discharged?. My discharge letter from the Trustee i had says we wish you all the best.... So i took this as that was it.
Thank you in advance [:)]
Hi Nikki
No, they are wrong. If both you and the Trustee are discharged, then he can no longer have any dealings with this.
He is only able to interact with creditors/money etc as Trustee.
You should advise the creditor of this and if possible seek confirmation from your Trustee to show them.
