Do banks automatically send out ppi payments or do u nrrd to make a claim

do banks automatically send you the money or do i have to put in a claim and can i make a claim by myself with out the help of companies that charge high fees for there services as much as 49%

U can claim any PPI mis sold to yourself, or employ a company to do it on your behalf, if doing it yourself, u can download all the required paperwork of the internet and print it off as required, I downloaded by searching for Martin Lewis PPI tools, itโ€™s quite straight forward and send it of once completed by yourself. Best to make the claim yourself, especially if you've been in a trust deed.

As well as Bert's recommendation, there's another good tool on the Which? website that you feed a few details into and it writes the letters for you.

thank you tda for your advice i shall try that my daughter got a cheque from vanquis for 600 pounds i dont think it was for ppi it was for some kind of repayment plan she did not need and they just sent her a cheque out of the blue nice surprise

Yes, Vanquis were fined by the Financial Conduct Authority and made to refund many clients as a result of not notifying them correctly as to the costs involved in a repayment plan option. It wasn't PPI-related.

With PPI you would need to make a claim normally.

YES it was lately wild child my daughter got a cheque from a company for an old credit card she had years ago she was paying into there repayment option plan she got all her money back she paid in plus 8% and she didn't have to do anything it was automatic they just sent her a cheque any body who had a vanquis card and was paying into the repayment option plan will be getting cheque's it not the same as ppi where you need to make the claim yourself vanquis will automatically send the money out

make sure they have your right address my daughter moved out 2 years ago the cheque just came out of the blue
