Hi, just a little heads up for anyone with a Pounds to Pocket loan going into their trust deed.
Apparently any correspondence sent to their London address is then forwarded to the American head office (which can take up 6 weeks according to Collections agent i spoke to).
Was advised that trustee should email paperwork to collections@ poundstopocket.co.uk
The PtoP loan is only a small part of my TD and hopefully shouldn't influence whether it becomes protected or not anyway. But it should stop the phone calls from them. Trying to explain a TD to American Call Centre staff is not much fun!

Hi Delboy69

It seems a few of these type of lenders don't follow the normal route. We still receive emails through our website about claims in specific cases, rather than by normal letter.

In terms of correspondence related to debt management plans I've seen apparently "UK" payday lenders where communication and payment has to go to Estonia, Malta or Gibraltar.

It will be interesting to see how the payday loan sector develops when the FCA takes over responsibility from the OFT in April next year.

"Industry sources" are saying that there will be a shift from payday loans to "term loans" (maybe six months or a year for example) to sidestep new rules aimed at very short-term loans.

Thanks for adding this information Delboy69. I've put a space in the email address that you listed to avoid automated bots spamming this address too much. Real people will still be able to work out how to contact them using the information that you added.

Hi Delboy69,

Thanks for sharing this information.

If they are a small creditor then they shouldn't be able to have an impact on the protection of your Trust Deed.

Let us know how your Trust Deed goes and if it becomes protected.
