Hi

I contacted the money advice centre online and they have made an appointment with Kensington Financial Management tomorrow morning. However their paperwork says Knightsbridge Insolvency.

I think I read a bad review about Knightsbridge and I am quite worried that I may be going to the wrong people.

Could you please help.

I also contacted Debt Advisory Centre Scotland.

Both did seem to be sellers.

Please help as I have this appointment tomorrow

Thank you
Ann

Thanks Andy

Feeling the pressure. The texts from the document collection agency say they will bring papers to sign and collect my documents.

I spoke to them on the phone but wasnt comfortable with it.

Welcome to the trust deed forum ann910.

I'm not in a position to comment on a trust deed firm other than the four represented here by Mark, Kevin, Shona and Chris that we choose to feature.

I do think that it's important to participate in an advice process rather than a sales process before making an important decision about your financial future.

If you aren't sure about things there is little to be lost from stepping back temporarily until you are 100% confident about the decision you are making. Comparing advice often helps to develop that confidence as well as giving you more scope for choice.

Hi ann910.

I think we were writing at the same time.

Mark (and the other experts here) have had lots of positive feedback from visitors that have gone on to meet with them and use their services in the past.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

I may have the meeting, but dont feel confident enough to sign
with this company yet.

I will take a little longer to make the decision.

Ann, check out a post from 3rd April by a member called Redguard. He too has had what he describes as an uncomfortable feeling about Kensington. Redguard had been waiting for months, had made payments and still had no idea whether or not he was actually in a Trust Deed. He appears to have been left in a totally unacceptable limbo.

You have emailed Mark though I see. He receives nothing but praise on this site for his sensitivity, integrity, professionalism, efficiency and humour. Good call.

I'm editing this to point out that ALL the experts on this site give generously of their time and expertise at all hours of the day and night - they all receive similar praise - you are spoiled for choice.

Best of luck xx

I'm sure the experts here and the firms they represent are not the only good guys but it does say a lot that they give time freely to advise where there is no financial gain, in my opinion that gives a lot of comfort. You have the ability to ask any questions and get answers from the experts and the experienced members who've begun / completed the process you might be considering-priceless!

Hi Ann,this is a really worrying time for you because you feel very vulnerable and overwhelmed with everything..I found this forum and read for weeks other peoples experiences before I posted anything.feel free to read my past threads,it charts my journey clearly. It is soooo important you feel comfortable with your IP.sign nothing tomorrow...keep reading good and not so good experiences here and write a list of questions the length of your arm.get everything in writing before you sign a single piece of paper.you are vulnerable enough just now and you need to go with someone who works for you.I am 8 months in. its not been easy re budgeting etc, however, there is a light at end of tunnel and we feel that we have been taken care of in a way that I didn't think possible.lets know how you get on.

Hi ann910

I received your message and will give you a call tomorrow if that's ok and we can organise a sit down to look at all option. So draw up a huge list of questions and we can go through them and I'm sure can resolve all matters to provide a clear way forward.

Regards

Mark
