Well,2 years since we posted, but now its over.Nov 1st 14 wife's ptd ended.Jan 1st 15 my last payment. Started May 2011.What a journey,at one stage we were handing over ยฃ550 per month. Both ptds were extended due to drop in income so payments went down.Wife's F5 delivered just before crimbo ,best present ever. Mine last week.Only people who can understand the relief are family,s going thru the debt minefield. Hang in there, its worth it eventually. The advice on this forum is priceless.Trustee is staying on to deal with PPI claim(wish I could see some of it).Got paperwork from a company for both of us to sign who were contacted by trustee to deal with this.Bit concerned trustee waited till end of both ptds before authorising this.Anyone any ideas why?.Anyway, thank you everyone on the forum.Good luck with your ptds. There is always light,[8D]

Congratulations to you both, needsmust. It must be a great feeling - thanks for letting us know.

I don't think there is likely to be any reason for them waiting until the end before investigating PPI other than just not having gotten round to doing it previously.

Hello needsmust.

Congratulations to you both on completing your trust deeds.

It's kind of you to add warm words about the site to your post, and also to take time out to share your experience with others.

Hi needsmust,

I think your name sums up a big part in relation to entering a Trust Deed or any other solution actually.

No one ever sets out wanting a Trust Deed but due to a variety of reasons in the end the debt becomes too much to manage and then "needs must" and people enter into a plan.

Best wishes for the future and well done on successfully completing your Trust Deeds.

Thank you for the kind words. As I,ve already stated, half the battle is knowing your not alone battling against the tide of crippling debt. All our debt was accumulated pre 2008,so with the tightening up of the banks, credit card company's,and other institutions practically begging you to take their cash,I hope we see a decline in family's going thru the "needs must" scenario.Maybe wishful thinking on my part.We got thru this almost intact. It doesn't,t half make you stronger, and wiser I think.
