Old documents. To shred or not to shred

I'm just about to go through my second year review.
That requires my last two pay lines and my last couple of bank statements.
I've been keeping my pay slips and bank statements since I began my TD. I've now got a kitchen drawer full of old paper work. Maybe I've just been over cautious.

I view having old paperwork stored as a bit of a risk. Is it ok for me to shred them now?
Will my final review next November be the same as the previous ones? Two months pay slips and bank statements?

If you're concerned at all then keep them.
I would keep copies of all submitted Documents as a matter of course.

Bank statements can be sourced at any time.
You will most likely be asked for the same Documents at each review.

Thanks
As you say I can source the bank statements later if required.
Just hate all the clutter.

Hi fizban.

Your trustee will be able to tell you what to hold onto and when.

Different firms look for slightly different things.

Scan the docs and keep a copy of them on your computer and also backed up on a flash drive or similar. That way you can get rid off the paper copies and have the kitchen drawer back lol.

Half way already!

Good suggestion colski.

If you don't have the ability to scan the paperwork and save it, a cheap folder from Asda or Tesco and file everything in there will help keep the kitchen drawer tidy.

I used to put all of my paperwork in the kitchen drawer and got fed up having to pull it all out looking for the takeaway menu so eventually created a folder for it all. I still put the letters in the kitchen drawer but they get filed every so often and it keeps it semi tidy.
